Looking for places to eat in Sligo? The Riverside Hotel sits on the bank of the Garavogue River, a 5-minute walk from Sligo town centre, and has two places to eat under one roof: The Mill Bar & Restaurant and Ripples Café - plus our traditional Sunday roast, served in the Mill every Sunday. Both venues are open to non-residents as well as hotel guests - you don't need to be staying with us to book a table.
Breakfast is served from 7:30am, Ripples Café runs through the day from 9am to 4pm, and the Mill's kitchen serves until 8:45pm. Below you'll find full opening hours, what each venue is best for, sample dishes and prices, so you can decide where to eat before you arrive.
The Mill Bar & Restaurant
The Mill Bar & Restaurant is the Riverside Hotel's bar and restaurant, open to residents and local diners alike. Bright, spacious and full of character, it serves relaxed Irish dining beside the Garavogue - locally sourced meat and fish, pub classics, loaded burgers, pasta and homemade desserts, with children's, vegan and gluten-free choices available.
Sunday Roast in Sligo
Every Sunday the Mill's kitchen turns over to a traditional roast, served from 1pm to 9pm, or until we sell out, at €16.95 per person. It's a proper carvery with selection of roast meats or grilled fish, seasonal vegetables and all the usual sides, carved to order - in the same riverside room as the rest of the week.
Sundays are our busiest service of the week, so we'd strongly recommend booking rather than chancing it - particularly for tables of four or more.

Ripples Café
Ripples Café is the Riverside Hotel's daytime café, open 9am to 4pm seven days a week to hotel guests, local customers and visitors exploring Sligo. Start the day with a gourmet breakfast, meet friends for lunch or relax over premium coffee - the menu runs to artisan sandwiches, freshly prepared hot dishes, baked treats and indulgent milkshakes, all beside the Garavogue. No booking needed.
